The challenges of the corona crisis have affected an exceptionally wide range of occupational groups. The Arts Promotion Centre Finland announced its seventh round of COVID-19 support in February for professional artists and other professionals in the culture and creative sectors. The amount of each COVID-19 grant awarded to private persons, i.e. artists and professionals in the creative industries, was 4600 euros, which is intended to support their professional work. Altogether, 6610 applicants were awarded a grant.

The amount of each COVID-19 subsidy was 6000 euros. These were awarded to private traders and sole proprietors to cover the cost of their operations. Altogether, 605 applicants were awarded a subsidy.

Funding for the latest COVID-19 support was included in the first supplementary budget approved by the Parliament in March 2022. Since 2020, Taike was distributed a total of 130 million euros in seven separate rounds of COVID-19 support to artists, professionals in the creative industries and sole proprietors.
