Subsidies were awarded to 10 applicants in the form of an operational subsidy and to 13 applicants in the form of a special subsidy. Operational subsidies are awarded to support the ongoing operations of communities. Special grants are awarded for individual projects to be implemented in 2025. As the budget is decreasing, more attention has been paid in the evaluation of applications to the professionalism of the operations, as well as to the artistic and cultural content. Subsidies were awarded to support professional activities that enable the work of professional artists.

Projects funded with special grants emphasise artistic work and the promotion of impact goals through artistic content. Projects supported with special grants relate to, for example, documentary film (Icebreaker Productions), dance (Just Dance ry) and visual arts (Helsinki International Artists' Association ry). Special subsidies were also awarded to the projects of two Ukrainian communities: Suomen Ukrainalaiset ry and Ukrainalainen teatteri Suomessa ry.

Among the communities receiving operational subsidies are those that promote the employment of artists with immigrant backgrounds and representing cultural minorities, as well as those that promote anti-racism, the realisation of cultural rights, the inclusion of cultural minorities and intercultural dialogue.

Although the budget available for subsidies decreased, seven communities were awarded operational subsidies at the same level or higher compared to the previous year. In addition, one community returned to an operational subsidy, and two communities were awarded operational subsidies for the first time. These were EtnoSalo ry and POC-lukupiiri ry.
