Creative Net info briefing and sparring – Application support for ESF+ projects
The next application round for projects within the ESF+ Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise theme will be from 13 January to 31 March 2025.
This ESF+ theme supports nationwide projects that strengthen the creative fields or creative economy, or expertise within the arts and culture sector. The goal is to introduce new skills to working life.
Funded projects should support the implementation of the cultural policy report and the growth strategy for the creative sector, as well as the use of R&D funding targeted at the creative sector.
Compared to the previous application round, the clearest difference is that there will be two calls for applications in the upcoming application round:
- The call for applications for traditional development projects covers wide-ranging expertise and innovation projects that meet the needs of the arts, culture and creative sector.
- The second call for applications is new and is aimed at experimental pilot projects, funding for which will be paid as a lump sum (maximum 200,000 euros). These projects can be more one-off, smaller experiments that respond to the development needs of the creative sector.
In both of these calls for applications, versatile collaboration between various actors is expected from the projects.
Info briefing 4 December, 9am–10am
Minna Taipale, Financing Specialist at the ELY Centre for Häme, will talk about ESF+ funding within the Creative and Cultural Innovation Expertise theme.
The info briefing will be held in Finnish. If you would like the main contents of the info briefing to be summarised in English in the webinar’s chat, please request this when registering.
Participation in the info briefing does not require participation in sparring.
Sparring, 4 December, 10am–4pm
Our quarter-hour sparring sessions will provide feedback on whether your project idea is suitable for ESF+ funding or how it could be further developed. Sparring will be provided by our team of Creative Net experts together with Minna Taipale, Financing Specialist at the ELY Centre for Häme.
You are welcome to participate in sparring if
- you participate in the info briefing, and
- you are interested in ESF+ funding for your project idea but are not sure if your idea is suitable for the theme or which call for applications you should participate in.
Quarter-hour sparring sessions will be held throughout the day. We will try to schedule sparring for everyone interested, but if this is not possible due to time limitations, participants will be selected and additional sparring organised later, if required. Priority will be given to those applicants who have not previously participated in Creative Net sparring.
The amount of time reserved for each sparring session is limited to 15 minutes, so please prepare in advance:
- Present your project idea concisely, including the need for your project and your goals, target groups and actions (max. 5 minutes)
- Familiarise yourself with the goals of the ESF+ theme
- Prepare questions in advance that will help your project planning
- Refer to our frequently asked questions (FAQ)
The sparring will focus on evaluating whether your project idea is suitable for the ESF+ theme, and if it is, which call for applications is more relevant. Details about the two calls for applications will be published on the EURA 2021 system when they open.
The sparring will be held on Teams. You will receive a calendar invitation and Teams link by e-mail after registering. You can forward the invitation to any other project partners who are involved in project planning and who would like to participate in the sparring.
Sparring can be held in Finnish or English.
